What your blog offers:
I tend to cover comics from all over, but my primary interest is manga. Regular features include a look at the week's new comic shipping list and profiles of as-yet-unlicensed titles from Japan that sound really good. I also review comics (though not as often as I feel like I should) and link to my manga column for The Comics Reporter.
What got you started blogging about manga?
I blog because I enjoy writing and interacting with other people who enjoy comics of all kinds. It's a great way to find out about books that had escaped my radar, too.
What was the first manga you read that caused you to become a regular manga reader?
"Sgt. Frog" by Mine Yoshizaki, Tokyopop
What one title do you think everyone should go out and buy?
"The Walking Man" by Jiro Taniguchi, Fanfare/Ponent Mon
What is the most prized volume or series in your manga collection?
"Even a Monkey Can Draw Manga" by Koji Aihara and Kentaro Takekuma, Viz
What outside of manga interests you?
I love to cook, read mystery novels, have deep conversations with my pets, and travel. It's too shameful to be called a hobby, but I also have a weakness for reality TV.
