In the sequel to You will Fall in Love, Reiichiro is back and hoping for a happier ending this time when he takes over as manager for a kimono shop. But a fellow employee, Jinnai, doesn't like the idea of being bossed around by a younger and less experienced man. As the sparks fly between the two men, will love also bloom?

You Will Drown In Love has attractive art and a decent amount of character development even though the main characters end up in somewhat stereotyped roles.

If you look at this book as Jinnai’s story, and if you’re familiar with the previous volume, you’ll realize this book can’t have a permanent happy ending. He cares for and helps Reiichiro in ways he needs to become the man we’ve already met, but Jinnai by definition will be left behind. All he gets is temporary enjoyment and the small comfort of knowing he was an essential teacher for Reiichiro on many subjects. But if you don’t know the characters, reading this before You Will Fall in Love is definitely the way to go.

You Will Drown in Love involves Reiichiro, who is Tsukasa’s brother and Haru’s former best friend and rival in archery, and Jinnai, his employee when he takes over the family business. Jinnai was certain he was next in line to become manager and is none too happy when the owner’s son waltzes in out of nowhere to take over his coveted position. To make matters worse, Reiichiro is a terrible sales person and continually drives away the customers. The rest of the story revolves around these two and Reiichiro dealing with the budding relationship between his brother and best friend, which is occurring in You Will Fall in Love.

Jinnai, loyal employee of a kimono shop, is a bit disgruntled when his boss retires and hands over managerial reins to his son Reiichiro. Reiichiro is just out of college and has no relevant work experience. He is also painfully blunt; he immediately starts losing potential customers and alienating previously loyal ones. Although Jinnai is repulsed by the thought of having to train his new boss, he takes the task up anyway and is able, slowly but surely, to win Reiichiro’s trust.
